We no longer have much produce available so our farm stand is now close. See you next year!
On the farm
For those who have loved our dahlias and want to grow some yourselves, this is your chance. Join us on November 23rd at 3:30pm when we will be digging them up. Help us getting them clean, divided and ready for storage and bring some home with you to plant next year. The amount of dahlia we have is limited so you will have to show up if you want them. We’ll keep a small amount for ourselves and the rest will be divided among those who help out. Thank you!
Our less than perfect apples are taking a bath and going through our juicer to transform into yummy fresh apple cider. It’s a tedious process without an apple cider press but still worth every moment.
Last pepper harvest of the season
The final moments of these beautiful dahlias in our garden this morning. They were literally frozen. When the sun touched them moments later, they all melted. And just like that, all gone!
It’s a frosty morning! Brrr... I should hate frost because it kills almost everything in the garden, but it makes everything so pretty. Death can be so beautiful sometimes.
Fall cauliflowers are just about ready for harvest. Yum yum yum 😋
The Fall cleanup continues between the rains here on the farm. It’s so heart broken for me to cut these hydrangeas off to go to the compost pile. They are so beautiful! 💔
“It’s not Easter”, I tell them. “No egg hunting”, I said. I thought the weather has slowed down their laying. I guess not. They just want to play the egg hiding game with me.
So that I don’t feel like I’m hoarding all these dahlias, I’ve put a bucket of them by the side of our driveway for anyone who wants some. Feel free to swing by and take some. No need to drive all the way in. Please don’t take the bucket as I will continue filling it up with more until they’re all gone. Cheers!
Dahlia is one of the few things still growing at our farm. That’s mainly why it is so hard for me to let them go. What am I to do when the heavy rain started beating down on them? Going out in the rain and cutting as many flowers as I could to bring inside of course! Now I have flowers all over the house. Not a bad problem to have. Happy Sunday!
The sun was shining this morning but now it looks like the storm is coming. Brace yourself!
