I’ve been trying to learn how to braid onions and garlic but it just wasn’t working. Not until Lucas of @therootcellar showed me in person at the Garlic and Goats festival that it clicked. Now I’m braiding everything I can find!!! Thank you, Lucas!
Our experimental crop this year is edamame. We had the first harvest yesterday and it is delicious. Will try to grow more next year!
Our Red Noodle Bean is starting to come in. They are so beautiful 😍
Duckling emergency!!! One of our ducks managed to hatch out a clutch of ducklings under the radar and brought them out for the first time today. A few of them fall into the water and couldn’t get out. I didn’t know how long they were in there until I discovered and scoop them out. This one was fully submerged. I rushed them into the bathroom and blow dried them. They look better now. Never a dull moment on the farm!!! 😅
Thank you everyone for coming by to see us on Saturday at the Garlic and Goats festival. We had a blast! I hope I didn’t miss anyone coming to the farm for upicking. We’ll open the farm for picking again this Saturday. Two more Saturdays to go before we close for the year, so come on by!

The blue hydrangea is starting to take on a green hue and I’m loving it! 💓
Tomatoes and cucumbers are such versatile vegetables. This time, I mix them with quinoa, chopped parsley and marinated in lemon vinaigrette for a tangy refreshing summer salad. I am still trying to avoid cooking since it’s so hot. I can’t wait for it to get a little cooler. How are you managing this heat?

It’s so hot!!!! It’s all about salad right now for us. Cucumber, tomato, and sweet peppers tossed with mint and chive blossom vinaigrette. Stay cool!!!
